You always told me I did not know the art of storytelling and I oft responded I did not know the craft called art. I knew you said it in jest and, as slow as I am, I understood the lighthearted nature of your humor. And you were right. I do not know how to account such a story that still resonates within me, after all these years. I stand here at the edge of time, the time of those memories before only fleeting glimpses in the magnitude of eternity, yet they remain ever clear in mind, still to this very interval, candlemark, hour, second, breath.

I relive those moments, for I am old, again and again, for I have nowhere to travel but the past. So, for you and all the lives you touched by that passion of life within you, I start from the beginning. Yes, even before you came to be, even before I ever was.

The story of war is not a new tale. Something in its alluring embrace lures humans, calling for strife and bloodshed. Even when the final scraps of hatred are swept away, conflict, anger and hurt persists. That bitter time opens this tale as I slip behind the curtains to watch it unfurl, yet again.

May merciless Infinitus preserve my words, for there is no one else left to hear them.

The above is simply a silly attempt at the ragged edges of time from the viewpoint of my original character Abaeran. Since this is the beginning of my sketchblog, both literary and artistic in nature (though, I quite imagine it will lean to more artistic), I wished to introduce the namesake of this corner of the digital world.

That's a brief, yes, exhaustive and incomplete introduction to Abaeran.

So what about me? The girl behind Abaeran's story? Oi, I'm just a busy college freshman with no life. Yes, that sums it all. My intentions with this blog (as somewhat stated earlier) is to provide an outlet for my mental musings. Sure, they tend to range incoherant, since Abaeran's world competes with the reality here, but I attempt at clarity. Abaeran has shown me to the world - albeit a complicated, time consuming world - of writing and truly he stands for my learning experience. I have suddenly opened my eyes to the talent of authors (I am an avid reader, but I never realized how hard it is to write!) and I am awed by their talent. I hope to improve my budding abilities of writing and drawing in hopes of a good story, that is mine. It will never be published, for it's raw and a strange hobby of mine, but I intend to see its completion.

Abaeran will make sure it is completed, at least somewhere in my lifetime.

Now, on to the fun things. Sketches! (A note, these are sketches, therefore, unfinished products. They are meant to look messy! :D)

I call this a 'hippo-fied' version of Abaeran. I swear he isn't this chubby. However, since I did this sketch in Microsoft OneNote, I fear that erasing is simply not an option (since that would pretty much erase the whole drawing).

It's Abaeran! He is completely blind in his right eye due to an unfortunate mishap in the city Omega. There is supposed to be extensive scarring due to the nature of the weapon used. The bird is another mechanical creature called LiE. His sentience is quite like Abaeran's. Drawn in Microsoft OneNote.

Another head profile view of Abaeran. There actually are other meca'gons, and they are named, but right now Abaeran's my focus. Here, his eye is quite freaky; I would not imagine it truly like that. Drawn in Microsoft OneNote.

I draw to a close (finally!). I'm excited to have this little sketchblog as my little corner on the internet. Sketches and quips are soon to come!
