I realize that my characters have issues with 'dark pasts.'  Actually, it seems that my male characters walk a broken path. As a response, I composed this. *giggles*


It really only is a sketch for Theo, the narrator of the last excerpt. The city he grew up in (or possibly the name of the country) is Umbra. I know it's unimaginative, but I liked it's Latin-ness and the my fascination with 'a' (and 'ae') was sufficiently satisfied. :D
